When North West Farm Machinery opened its doors for business just over nine years ago, dealer principal, Roger Moylan was clear on how he was going to make this venture work. The business would be successful only if you were willing to give 100% commitment and provide the customers with what they wanted. ‘We offer our customers good quality products, value for money and back up service for everything we sell.’
Roger has lived and worked in Quirindi for the past twenty two years and many farmers appreciate his knowledge and experience with farming machinery. Roger‘s experience with the land began as a child when he worked his parent’s farm. Those early years established his passion for the land and the machinery needed to do the job.
As customers’ support grew so did the business. Over the years, the support from the farmers and property managers has been overwhelming and it is this support that is especially appreciated. When Roger purchased the premises in 2003 he shared the building with a communications business and North West Farm Machinery took up just one third of the building. Within eighteen months, North West Farm Machinery had taken over all of the building and added industrial sheds at the rear of the building. Settlement for the block next door will be effected in September this year and from its humble beginnings North West Farm Machinery has established itself as a real competitor in the sales and service of farming machinery.
Roger is also very grateful to the many suppliers who supported North West Farm Machinery. Today there are over sixty suppliers. All products sold by North West Farm Machinery are top quality and come with exceptional after sale support. Overheads are kept to a minimum and this allows prices to be very competitive and customers can rely on value for money.
Quirindi is the main town in the Liverpool Plains Shire Council region. Council’s approach toward development and improvement is progressive and forward planning. North West Farm Machinery has developed a valuable working relationship with council over the years and it is clear the mutual respect between the council and North West Farm Machinery has also played an important role in the business growth.
Every two years the Quirindi Chamber of Commerce & Industry awards excellence in business across a number of categories. North West Farm Machinery won the 2011 Agribusiness Award for excellence in the provision of services and business practices to the agricultural industry.
Of course to be successful in business you need the backing of good staff. Each employee is an important factor in the constant growth and development of the business. In order to service the community, North West Farm Machinery requires high ethical standards as an important component of high quality professional service. There is a wonderful team of dedicated staff, contractors and consultants all working together for the one goal and embracing the principles of the business. The workplace has a friendly and enthusiastic environment where everyone is encouraged to be the best they can possibly be.
As a finalist in the MTA NSW Motor Industry State Awards for Excellence, North West Farm Machinery made its way to Sydney for the event. It was a wonderful night of entertainment and a chance to meet with other finalists. Ideas and business cards were exchanged and everyone shared in the jubilations and the disappointment s of the night.
North West Farm Machinery was named 2011 MTA NSW Farm Machinery Dealer of the Year. ‘This is a wonderful honor and will be shared with each and every team member of North West Farm Machinery and all of those who have supported us along the way. ‘
