Mta Awards Industrys top award
By NWFM Account @ 10:09 AM :: 38 Views
Quirindi farm machinery dealership North West Farm Machinery has taken out the industry’s top award at the recent Motor Traders Association (MTA) awards dinner held at Darling Harbour.

NWFM Dealer Principal Roger Moylan said he was still in a state of shock at being named the top machinery dealership in NSW.

“I couldn’t believe my ears when they announced the winner,” said Roger.

Roger had attended the glittering function at Darling Harbour last week and rubbed shoulders some the industry’s biggest players and dealerships.

“I thought it would be a great night out but I was stunned when the MC announced North West Farm Machinery as the Dealer of the Year.”

The accolade came close on the heels of the announcement earlier in the week that Roger’s business had taken out the Quirindi Chamber of Commerce Agribusiness Bi-Annual Business Award.

The NSW award is judged by manufacturers and suppliers to the industry and is based sales, service and staff.

“Judges canvass the farming community serviced by the nominees and base their decision on who the dealership is rates on a host of categories.

The highly-competitive State award starts off with 360 nominees which is eventually whittled down to five finalists.

Roger Moylan has a life-time experience in the farm machinery industry and just under 10 years ago started NWFM on Whittaker Street.

The dealership now boasts 60 franchises include Lely, Versatile, McCormick, Daedong, Gyral, Morris, John Shearer, Horwood Bagshaw, Duncan, Merlo, Schulte, Superior, SDLG Volvo, Westfield Augers Grainline and Hardi, to name but a few.

Roger sees the success as a team effort and was quick to praise his staffand sales team.

“I have lived in Quirindi for 22 years and have spent most of my adult life in the industry and I quickly learned that service is paramount,” Roger added.

“These awards are a tribute to my hard-working and dedicated team of Mandy, Maree, Erica, Andrew, Justin, Jeanie, Peter and Matt Porter and Matt Watson.

“Without them this wouldn’t have been possible.

“And of course without great products from great companies who provide the best in back-up service, this award would not have happened.”

Roger now has expansion plans in the pipeline for NWFM.

“We have purchased the house and block of land next door and we are waiting on council approval to allow us to build another shed which will enable us to better serve out customers

“We are looking forward to moving into a new era.”
